    Sorry to hear about your experience. I’m co-founder and CEO of Brainstorm Force, makers of Astra.

    If you could be more specific, I’ll be sure to check with our team and do better.

    As for the reviews, we requested our customer list to post their experience on that particular date, so there was a surge of reviews in that time period. But you can see other reviews which are consistently posted. WordPress shows profile of users who post reviews, which can be used to validate authenticity as well. Rest be assured, we don’t ever post fake reviews.

    Yes, Astra is compatible and works great with Elementor Pro, and of course, Ultimate Addons for Elementor.

    If you plan to use Elementor theme builder, you probably don’t need to use the settings in the Customizer, but they are there when you’ll need them.

    Sorry to see you’re having issues. I’m CEO of Brainstorm Force, the makers of Astra theme. Let me address your questions below:

    1. Trying to things as simple as creating a blog page that includes basics such as header, footer, archive, and gallery.
    = If you open up a support ticket, our team will be happy to help.

    2. Elementor text editor window lets you view/edit 3-4 sentences at a time
    = You can expand the view by dragging it from the control in the bottom right and make it larger.

    3. I’ve tried to join a Facebook Astra user group and am still waiting for confirmation that I can join the group. No support for any of this garbage.
    = It can take about 48 hours for us to support users on the free plan. If you’re a paying customer, we provide premium support via email. The response time will be much faster.

    That is correct and quite common in all tech ecosystems actually.

    For example: if one bought an android app for version 5.0 — it needs to be updated if it has to properly function with the latest version 11.0

    Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. Although it’s difficult to hear the not-so-good stuff, we appreciate you sharing your experience so that we can improve moving forward.

    I would like to answer your concerns below inline:

    # If you are using WooCommerce don’t use this theme it has 0 features.
    = On top of the many features we offer in the free version, here is a list of what you expect from Astra Pro, just for the WooCommerce. We advertise it clearly on the website.

    # Theme misses so many simple features for your store and you will need tons of plugins.
    = Astra is a theme. The job of the theme is to handle the design and styling of the website. Theme can not offer features beyond design as they need to be taken care of by plugins. There is a reason WordPress has a distinction Theme + Plugin structure.

    # The pro support is not even close to pro they first answer you about something totally random from your issue.
    = I’m sorry you had issues with support. That is not the usual experience of our customers. You will find thousands of customers enjoy the experience with our support team. If you email me at sujayp @ brainstormforce.com I will be happy to take a look at your support history with us and see what we can improve.

    # Minimum 24 hours.
    = We answer questions within 24 hours on weekdays. Usually, it is 5 to 10 hours and depends on the complexity of the question.

    Hello @creative99 — Just noticed this thread, apologies for the delay.

    This could be happening if there is some kind of caching on your website, either through a plugin or from your web host.

    I would encourage deactivating other plugins temporarily and take a look if that fixes the problem. Then activate them back again one by one and see which one caused it.

    This is Sujay, CEO of Brainstorm Force. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Even though it is negative, we seek things to learn from it.

    Let me answer your concerns one by one below:

    # Excessive loading times of fonts (astra woff, etc.)
    = As with the latest version 3.3.0 – Astra does not use (astra woff)

    # Astra icon fonts that get blocked by browsers that have third-party fonts blocked,
    = Astra does not icon fonts anymore after the 3.3.0 release. We have switched to SVG fonts.

    # No fall-backs for the burger menu functionality
    = Thanks for the feedback. We will see what we can do to improve this. At this moment, like most WP themes, Astra needs javascript enabled in the browser for functioning.

    # It’s website states that one can use the Pro plugin on unlimited websites and for one year receive updates to the plugin and receive pro support.
    = This is absolutely true. You need to renew, only if you wish you need updates and support from us.

    # The Astra Pro Plugin actually disabled the entire ‘customizer’ functionality in WordPress!
    = We do not block customizer or any functionality if one does not renew the license. This must be a misunderstanding. If you do not choose to update Astra Pro, please note that: you should not update the Astra theme as well. If you just update the theme and not Pro addon, there will be incompatibilities that might cause issues just as you described. This is as the latest OS needs the latest versions of software for functioning. If you do not update the OS, the software installed will need to be updated too.

    # I asked for a refund a couple of times and have been ignored.
    = If you asked for a refund after one year of usage, we regretfully can not grant that.
