    I may suggest you delete all kind of caches (website, browser, CDN if you have) before checking.

    Clearing cache didn’t help.
    Regarding tips from the article:
    1. No other commenting plugins are active;
    2. Form has “knowledgebase” post type chosen;
    3. Commenting is allowed;
    4. Commenting is allowed for specific articles as well;
    5. Commenting is enabled in theme’s settings (disabling it removes the default comment block at all, but doesn’t show yours). Adding the suggested code to the function.php haven’t affected anything (if that code was supposed to be fully copy-pasted, without edits);
    6. Haven’t found “php comments_template()” in theme’s files (maybe haven’t searched well enough), but did find /templates/comments.php
