manually checkbox to subscribe not working

I edit my template and added <? php if (function_exists (‘subscribe_reloaded_show’)) subscribe_reloaded_show (); ?> in my comments.php. Appears correctly on the web. But it does not work.
Check the box to subscribe and send comment but I do not subscribe.
