    Hello,
I want to use this plugin in more than one site.
But I am testing it to know if to continue.

I set it to show excerpts.
    I installed push notification plugin.
But when a reader clicks on notifications, the reader is taken to same site to see full articles instead of excerpts.

How can this be made to be only excerpts?
    Thanks.

  • Hi @todga!

    Thanks for choosing Feedzy!

There are two scenarios when using Feedzy. One of them is to only display posts from the source. The reader will be redirected to that source when he clicks on the post and he will see the full article. The other scenario is to import posts from the source, not just display them. This way, the reader will remain on your site after he clicks on the post and he will only see the excerpt, not the full article. You can find out more about importing posts from a feed here.

    Have a nice day!

    Hello,
    Thanks for your response.
The issue is in the second scenario you mentioned.
Right now the imported posts are all full articles.

How can I make the imported posts to be excerpts?
Featured images are not displayed. How can they be made to be displayed?

    Thanks.

    Hello @todga ,

Thank you for clarifying the situation!

When you create the import, an excerpt will be shown on your Blog Page, and only when clicking on the Read More button, the user will be redirected to the full post. (screenshot of the Blog Page).

If you only want to show the excerpts of the posts on your website then I would suggest using the Feedzy Block instead of the Feed to Post feature.

As for the featured images, please make sure you have the [#item_image] tag setup in your feed. Also, can you please provide your feed in order to troubleshoot this issue further? (screenshot)

Also, seems like your notification has a link to the post itself, not to the Blog Page where excerpts are appearing. Maybe you can change that?

    We’ll wait for your answer!

Thank you and have an amazing day!
