Drop down search boxes with Events Manager Categories

    Hi, I’m using WP 3.51 and BuddyPress 1.7 and whatever the current versions are of Events Manager and WP FullCalendar.
    I love both of these. I need some help though.

    I want drop down boxes on my FullCalender to sort by Category. I’m not seeing ANY drop down boxes. I thought that functionality was built in, judging by this picture:

    I could (maybe) figure out how to code this, but if it’s already built in, I’d rather not reinvent it.
    Everything else seems fine. I can sort my events from the Events page. Events are displayed on the calendar.

    I’ve tried setting the checkbox in the Events Manager to use the fullcalendar, but when I do, I (again) lose the sorting option (when I goto the Events page I get the FullCalender without drop downs or any search options).

    This is for a free rural community website, and you can go to it at:

    and click on Calendar.

    I love your plugins and I’m determined to use them. I have tried the rest, all of them, yours are the best. Thanks.

    Additional info: I reset Events Manager to default settings, uninstalled WP FullCalendar, then reinstalled. No change.

    Okay I get it. I didn’t have any events with categories yet, so the calendar was smart enough to hide the box.

    I guess this issue only will affect people who have just set up their events calendar, but a note somewhere might be a good idea.

    I am having this problem. I have two events on my calendar, with two different categories. When I have “calendar” view set, there is no dropdown of categories to choose from. In fact, the entire search bar line has disappeared.

    Please help — I would like the calendar view with a dropdown of categories for users to choose from.
