I have a problem with restore backup. I’m using WordPress and BackupGuard plugin. When I’m trying to restore copy I’m receiving an information:

BackupGuard Error: PHP EXECUTION TIMEOUT ERROR Your hosting has an execution time limit of 300 seconds for PHP scripts, which is not enough for performing a full backup/restore of your website. A full website backup/restore is a complex process which may take a couple of minutes depending on many circumstances. The needed execution time varies depending on the backup options and your server performance, that’s why we cannot tell exactly how much execution time is needed. But, almost all hosting providers give users the ability to increase the execution time limit or they increase it themselves, upon user request. Please ask your hosting provider if they are able to increase your execution time limit. If this isn’t an option for you, then try to activate the “Reloads enabled” option in the settings (to compress your data chunk by chunk). Then disable any security plugin which could prevent nopriv ajax calls and try again to create a new backup. If you still see this error, please contact us and we’ll do our best to help you figure it out ASAP.

and it’s every time no matter I change execution timeout to 300 seconds or more. Anyone have same problem?

    Dear @mkally ,

Thanks fr bringing the issue to our attention.

Could you please, send us backup and restore log files so we can analyze the issue and provide you with a solution?

You can download the mentioned log files following the instructions described in the links below:

In case you don’t have access to your dashboard, you can download them using an FTP client. All the backups and related stuff (e.g. log files) have been located in “/wp-content/uploads/backup-guard/” directory.

    Best,

    Dear @mkally ,

    Thanks for sending the files.
Could you extract the backup file and let us know what result you get?
To do that you should use the SGBP extractor.
To use the SGBP extractor you firstly need to download and install the mentioned software on your PC.
    You can download it here:
    https://backup-guard.com/downloads/

After installing the SGBP extractor, you need to choose the respective archive you want to extract and also choose the destination path where you want to extract.
More details can be found in the following link:

I tried to extract backup file using SGBP extractor. It stayed at 47% and nothing else happened.

    Dear @mkally ,

We did the same and got the same result.

We are sorry to inform you that the backup archive seems to be damaged that is why you got the error during the restore process.
The reason for this may vary, for instance, it can be due to server limitations, bad internet connection, file size, bandwidth, etc.

Do you have another backed up archive with our plugin? If so, please, try restoring that one. This one won’t be possible to restore.

I have another backup file, but also it’s not possible to restore page – same error.
I increased limits – php timeout, transfer and nothing helped. I contacted my hosting company to increase limits. After that, I created another backup and when I tried to restore page it also failed.

    Dear @mkally ,

Could you send the backup log of the failed backup, please? We can check to understand what the issue could be connected with.

    Thank you!

    Dear @mkally ,

Seems you’ve sent the restore log and not the backup one. Please, send the backup log of the same backup .

I checked the link once again, and there are two files, so I’m confused.

    Dear @mkally ,

This one is the restore log as well. See this screenshot.
When you click on the Download button, there should be three options: the backup log, the restore log and the backup file itself.
Now, what we want is the backup log and not the restore one.

Do you see the option to download the backup log of the same backup which gives an error during the restore process?

    Here is the file: https://easyupload.io/e24egh

I have to upload this via easyupload cause I have no possibility to do this via wetransfer at the moment.
